Save Our Heritage Organisation v. City of San Diego (2006) San Diego County Superior Court

The San Diego Cultural Heritage Board determined the Coronado Belt Line to be an historic site. When an appeal of the designation to the City Council was upheld, Save Our Heritage Organisation (SOHO) filed suit. The San Diego Superior Court agreed with SOHO that the identification of an historic resource could not be overturned by a political decision disallowed by City ordinances, and a peremptory writ issued.

In a CEQA lawsuit filed in 2003, SOHO successfully sought the preparation of an EIR for the Port of San Diego's proposed 66-year lease of the rail line.
