Case

The Santa Clara County Superior Court issued a writ of mandamus ordering the Foothill-DeAnza Community College District to set aside its approval of demolition of the historic 1903 Griffin House as part of a new construction project, because the EIR failed to adequately consider feasible alternatives to demolition and the District failed to obtain a demolition permit. The District thereafter rescinded the demolition and relocated the new construction project.
